The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has issued notification at upsc.gov.in for a Screening Test for the selection to Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination, 2015 through Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2015 which will be held on 23rd August, 2015.Last Date for submission of online application is 19th June 2015.Indian Forest Service Examination will consist of two stages :- i) Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination (Objective type) (ii) Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination (Written and Interview).

Total Number of Posts : 110 Posts
Age Limit : Minimum 21 years and below 32 years as on 1st August 2015.Upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years for Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe,3 years for Other Backward Classes and for others as per Govt rules.
Education Qualification : Candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering of any of Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions.
Physical Standards : Candidate must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to Indian Forest Service Examination, 2015 as per regulations given in Appendix-III of the rules for the Indian Forest Service Examination, 2015 published in Gazette of India dated 23rd May, 2015.
Selection Procedure : Indian Forest Service Examination will consist of two types of examination :- i) Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination of Objective type (multiple choice questions) for the selection of candidates for the Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination; and (ii) Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination (Written and Interview) for the selection of candidates for the Indian Forest Service
Application Fee : Candidates applying for the Examination are required to pay a fee of Rs.100 either by remitting the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by net banking of SBI, State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/ State Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/State Bank of Patiala/ State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit card.No fee charges for Female/ SC/ST/PH candidates.
How to Apply : Candidate must apply online only through link www.upscon line.nic.in by filling online Application Form for Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination as per Detailed instructions up to 19th June, 2015 till 11.59 PM.Candidates will be provided E-Admission Certificate on UPSC website ww.upsc.gov.in three weeks before the commencement of the examination.
